Wynbrook couple making the most of Melbourne
Clayton purchased his home Wynbrook, Wyndham Vale to make most of living in Melbourne after relocating from South Australia late last year.
“I love Victoria’s sports facilities, stadiums, race circuits, entertainment, city skyline and outer country areas and towns. My wife and I always dreamed of moving to Melbourne, and finding Wynbrook prompted us to make it a reality,” Clayton said.
In his work with local government over the last 16 years, Clayton has watched Australia’s property market grow and has invested wisely. The couple purchased their first home in 2003 in Adelaide’s western suburbs and are now excited about building their dream home at Wynbrook.
“Wynbrook was our number one choice across all Victorian developments. I believe Dacland has secured the best available land for affordable house and land packages.”
“Melbourne’s west, and Wyndham in particular, is already showing strong market gains. With more infrastructure and new plans becoming visible through Wyndham City Council, the west will become Melbourne’s best address.”
Clayton said a five-minute walk to Wynbrook train station, voted Victoria’s best regional rail station, was a big drawcard.
“This station runs services to Geelong and Melbourne’s CBD, and will ultimately connect to Avalon airport, so you can travel to more destinations without too much effort. There’s also a bus terminal for travel around Werribee and surrounding areas.”
“City bound, the train stops at Southern Cross Station next door to Etihad Stadium so we can go to AFL games and access lots of other sport and entertainment. Wynbrook is a 45-minute drive to the surf coast with many beautiful beaches and other outdoor places. The Great Ocean road is only an hour away for a nice weekend drive.”
Access to shops including Coles, a medical centre and schools were also important.
Clayton values Wynbrook’s streetscapes and design that features larger-than-usual setbacks between houses and the road. Dacland’s Great Garden Promise was also a big plus.
“The money-back offer for front gardens and the free gardener for two years will benefit the overall look of the community,” he said.
Dacland communities are designed to encourage warm, welcoming and environmentally healthy communities that grow strong well into the future.
Clayton is keen to get involved in fostering the community at Wynbrook and is looking forward to events where homeowners can meet their neighbours and become involved in locally based activities.
