Sport and Activities in Wyndham Vale

Werribee Sports and Fitness Centre is being transformed with a $47 million redevelopment that will see it having 12 indoor courts, seating for 1500 spectators, a health club, gym, spin room, members lounge, four outdoor netball courts, table tennis space, a café and expanded and improved amenities.

The Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre, which will be completed in 2015, will include five new pools, two giant waterslides, a health and fitness centre, gym, café, creche and piazza. The redeveloped events centre will have improved sound and acoustic facilities as well as expanded amenities.

Enjoy the water and get fit at the Werribee Olympic Outdoor pool. The complex comprises two pools and is open all year. It also has a kiosk and a public barbecue area.

There is a great playground at Presidents Park. Slides, climbing walls, tunnels, monkey bars and 12 swings of various kinds make this a favourite with the children. Teenagers will love the skate park and everyone loves a barbecue lunch. Wyndham Vale Reserve also has play equipment and ovals.

Loyola Reserve and Coventry Reserve are great places to kick back and relax while the children play.

Heathdale Glen Ordens Wetlands is 35 hectares of open space with a boardwalk over the wetlands, picnic rotundas, a playground and a BMX bike track. It’s a great place for bird watching.
